Foxhunt for 1999
These are a few
pics of the starting
point at Meadowview
Shopping Center.
This month's
fox was Greg, WB9STR.
This is not an
easy person to find!!!
Greg wields that
yagi
like a Samurai
sword!
Greg
took us to a well hidden road east
of
Bourbonnais Sportsman Club Road
that
was adjacent to a sub-division
where
some hunters found themselves
hopelessly
wandering around
in
and out of many culdesacs.
N9IO
and next N9REG could see Greg between two
houses
toward the end of a dead end street.
But
since they cannot go onto private property
the
hunt was still on. The fox had to be
approached
on a publicly accessible road.
We
had to navigate out of the
winding
sub-division and get over to
Sportsman
Club Rd quickly before
we
were beaten to the punch!
Fortunately all
was not lost!
Clay N9IO and
xyl Cindy N9IOQ
came up with
the 1st place
win in relatively
quick time.
Kevin N9REG,
daughter Heather
and Bill N9QXZ
were a very close 2nd.
This was also
Heather's first hunt.
3rd place went
to Chip K9IOC
and sister Crystal
W9IOU.
4th place went
to Don K9NR
and xyl, Billie
KF9IF.
